About Me

When I attended college, I joined an Asian-Interest sorority, Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Being in a sorority, we plan and coordinate many annual events. Through this, I learned that the tasks of budgeting, networking, and event planning and execution are what I really enjoy doing.  Though my interest in event planning sparked in college, I've grown accustomed to weddings since I was a little girl having played in various wedding roles such as a flower girl, junior bridesmaid, an usher and, more often lately, a bridesmaid and even a maid of honor.

Not only having been in weddings throughout my life, I was directly exposed to working within the wedding industry early on by my father, Aris of Aris Enterprise, who has been a successful wedding DJ for over 30 years.  After college, I wanted to continue event planning, and the idea of joining the wedding industry came up. In 2010, I completed the Professional Wedding Planner Certificate at Harper College, where I learned the in’s and out’s of planning weddings and became more knowledgeable about the wedding industry as a whole in order to make myself a more effective wedding planner and coordinator.
With being in that age where we start to settle down, I've had close friends get married and more get engaged and currently in their planning stages.  This has given me constant opportunities for exposure to different wedding styles, ideas, personalities and observe what their planning/day-of pain points have been.  Through these resources, I've been able to learn so much more about the anatomy of a wedding and be comfortable with helping others whether it being in proper budgeting, client and vendor interaction, understanding celebration traditions and etiquette, or timeline scheduling of the actual wedding day.
So here I am. Now at the building blocks of establishing and building the portfolio of Chic.
Please enjoy!

  1. On wedding day, I had a complimentary attendant, who was helpful in getting my husband and myself champagne, and she also made sure that we were eating. I gave my heartfelt appreciation to the staff at chicago wedding venues for their tremendous effort in making our day the most special day of our lives.
